8/31/2017 · ARC sound is just behind the video, and no amount of sync adjustment seems to fix it. You can only go -5 on the a/v sync , which apparently has no effect. Going + on the audio absolutely makes a difference, but unfortunately in the wrong direction.
*Update So I spent and hour going through various fixes with LG today: -Hard reset with the button underneath the red off light (I didnt know this existed) -Two power shutoffs from hitting the breaker in the garage -Attempting to change where the location of the TV -Attempting to connect via Wifi, ethernet cord and phone hot spot.
Fixing the lip sync problem especially using external devices by turning off the Dolby Atmos feature in the setting of the TV. I don’t know if this will work…
3/4/2018 · I’ve found that adding 83 ms of delay (2 frames) on the receiver is enough to compensate. That’s why match frame rate will cause av sync issues unless you adjust accordingly, but that’s a pain in the ass. For me that’s why I use ARC for Apple TV with my Denon 2300 – it seems to adjust the delay correctly automatically.
